Latest Build - Mrs. Sreyroath - May / June 2011
Mrs. Sreyroath is single mother with 5 children together, she married two times as her first husband died because he was very sick and the family didn't have the funds to pay for the hospital, he died when she was having her third child in 1990. Her second husband left her with two more children in her responsibilities. Mrs. Sreyroath works to support her children but she only had just enough for food, and her three elder children never had a chance to go to school like others children in village.
Right now the three children work as construction workers and cleaner in restaurant to make small income to help support family together. Every penny of income goes on food and to repay back the debt that they owe from when their mother were sick few year ago.
The two younger kids are luckier and they do go to school, one in grade 6 and one in grade 5, they study in public school which luckily doesn't charge them at present, as they have no money.
Thefamily live together in a small house with many holes, which is always wet during raining season.
Normally when it rain they need all need to get up and cover their body with plastic to protect from rain, after the rain stop they all dry up the water to prepare to place to sleep again. As well when it rain so hard water come up to the floor, which they have no place to sleep on. Most of the time neighbor gives them some space to sleep during this season.
As single mother who works hard for her family Mrs Sreyroath is often sick from lack of nutrition, emotional problem, and her hard life which she been through for many years. The family survive day to day and have no plans and no future no expectation for anything. But she always wishes that her children can get better life in future not like her case.
